My name is Terri Lewis and I am excited to be exploring the mathematics world with you this semester. I was raised in Indiana. I earned a BS in Math Education at the University of Indiana. Charlotte has been my home for the last 20 years.
I've experienced a wide variety of classroom situations in my 25 years as an instructor. I've worked on a Navajo reservation, teaching high school math. In Indianapolis I worked directly with inner city, underprivileged students. I worked in a classroom for severely handicapped students for three years, and I've been teaching at Independence for the last eighteen.
My two daughters, one of whom is a 1998 IHS alumni, live in Atlanta, GA. In the summers I enjoy traveling with my husband. We journey nationally and internationally; our favorite destinations include Alaska, and the Mediterranean.
